You have to feel it to heal it.
This means going back to the past, and asking yourself which experiences hurt you? Who made you believe that you weren't good enough?
When did you start to believe that the world was dangerous and that people can't be trusted?
Visualize what this emotion feels like within your body. Give it a name. Describe it (size, colour, texture). Slowly breathe into the emotion, acknowledge what it is feeling. Allow yourself to feel this emotion, so that you can release it.
Visualize the emotion getting smaller with each exhale.
Blocking your emotions and not allowing yourself to feel anything is like pushing a balloon under water.....it's going to end up exploding out of the water.
